Julia the Elder (39 BC - 14 AD, Julia Caesaris, Julia Augusti) was the only child of Augustus. Her mother was Augustus's second wife, Scribonia.

The bust shown here, from the Museo Nazionale Romano, is identified by some scholars as Julia. The hair style is similar, but not identical, to that of the portrait thought to be Julia in the Pergamon Museum. It is nearly identical to that  of a veiled woman in a panel of the Ara Pacis, formerly identified as Livia, but now thought to represent Julia.
