The house of the wild boar (VII,4,48) is a showy, "atrium-style" dwelling, where the entrance, atrium and tablinum are linearly aligned. Some of its fourth-style decorations are highly intact. It appears that redecoration of the home was completed just before the eruption of Vesuvius.
